Web Design
A web site should be designed based on the individual needs of a company. There are so many possibilities! From simple "brochure" type sites to complex e-commerce sites and everything in between.
- Fast download speed for each page - To avoid people leaving because your page took too long on their 28.8 home dial-up connection.
- Usability - Including easy to use site navigation, easy to read text layout and other key aspects that make people want to read instead of flee.
- Seamless branding - Your web site should have a look and feel that works with your overall business identity and printed materials.
- Scalability - Your site should fit various screen sizes or in certain cases center on the page.
- Consistency - From page to page you typically don't want to have different navigation, different logos etc.
|
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO) - So that your website can be found and ranked higher in search engines such as Google and Altavista.
- Cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility - So your site will work on PC and MAC and in a variety of browsers (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera).
- Your budget - Whether you need a professional looking e-mail address or an e-commerce site, we can work with you to find the best solution for your budget.
- Your marketing - "Build it and they will come" just doesn't work. We'll discuss various ways to get the word out depending on the focus of your site.
- Your audience - Targeting the people you think will be coming to your website and focusing on their needs and wants.

Search Engine Submission Packages
|
|
So you have a web site, now what? Submitting to search engines is the first step. I'm not going to tell you that you can't do it yourself, because you can. I have several packages that can accommodate most budgets and can save you some time.
All submission are done by hand and not by a program. It is currently considered less effective to submit to multiple search engines using a program that was created to batch submit web sites. **

SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
|
|
Build it and they will come... NOT!
SEO looks at the various aspects of a web site from the views a Search Engine might take. Things like keywords (words that you think will draw the appropriate crowd for your product or service), keyword density (the percent of the web site that has those specific words), title tags, alt tags, meta tags and a variety of other things that make it possible to achieve potential higher ranking in the search engines listings.**
SEO is not the be all end all either. Getting people to come to your site is half the battle, you also have to be able to keep the attention of the people you've attracted.
SEO may be done to an already completed web site or as a web site is built. Please call for a customized estimate based on your needs.

*1 page is limited to 800x1800 pixels (two page-scrolls down on an 800x600 sized browser)
** Search engines are constantly changing the way they pick what sites rank higher over other sites, what works today may be completely different tomorrow. This is a very fast changing market that is constantly trying to combat people who are trying to abuse their system in order to get high, non-relevant rankings (the best example of abusers are the porn web sites.) Fascination Design strives to stay on top of this topic.
